This board is a monaural, low distortion audio power amplifier based on the NCS2211 from ON Semiconductor. The NCS2211 is a high performance, low distortion Class A/B audio amplifier and it is capable of delivering 1 W of output power into an 8 Ohm speaker through a differential output.

On the board, three solder jumpers allow you to select the output gain (x4, x8 and x16) just by joining the pads together with some solder.

The board includes two screw terminals already soldered, for input and output connections, and all the required components to operate. On the side of the board there are the power supply, ground, shutdown and input pins broken out to 0.1″ (2.54mm) spaced pins.

This board is extremely easy to use: just connect the audio input to the IN and GND terminals, the speaker to the OUT- and OUT+ terminals, select one of the available gain values, connect the GND pin to the ground of your circuit and apply 2.7V to 5V to the VCC pin. You can shut down the entire circuit by applying a logic 1 to the OFF pin.
