This module features a Maxim DS1307 Real Time Clock. It includes a battery which will run the RTC for 9 years at minimum (the battery is soldered at the moment of the order).

The DS1307 is very easy to use. It is accessed through standard 2-wires (I2C) protocol. The power supply is 5V, so it’s easy to interface with an Arduino and similars. The board has 0.1″ spacing header so you can mount it on a breadboard. It also has two mounting holes.

It comes assembled as seen in the picture, tested and programmed with Central European Time.

We have included an Arduino sketch that implements the basic functions to set and read time. It includes a menu to do the initial configuration. Find the link here below.
